In August, when you donate 10 school supplies, you can get a microdermabrasion treatment for only $49
When Dr. Fisher and Chris Fisher heard this story out of Oklahoma about a teacher who resorted to panhandling to raise money for classroom supplies they felt like they wanted to help in some way. (This teacher raised $25,000 and is going to start a foundation to buy school supplies for teacher!)
Illinois teachers are put in the same position – many must use their own funds (out of teachers’ salaries, nonetheless) to pay for supplies for their classroom. For art projects. For learning aids. Sometimes to pay for school supplies for kids whose parents can’t afford to purchase them.
In addition to teachers, there are also a lot of families feeling the pinch when it comes to school supplies. The spiral notebooks, scissors, glue sticks, and more that will cost about $200, on average, per elementary student this year, or $330 and $375 per middle and high school student, respectively. (Facts from a 2016 NEA online article.)
When you donate 10 school supplies to the IMT school supply drive, we will give them to a deserving teacher. And when you do that in August, you can receive a Microdermabrasion treatment for only $49 – more than half off!
We just want to make life a little easier for one special teacher. If you know one who is deserving, please nominate them. Click here to nominate a teacher who has made a difference in your child’s life.
Think of your skin like a hardwood floor in your house. If you don’t vacuum your floors frequently and dust, pet hair, dust mites and other revolting things start to pile up.
So it goes with your skin – if you don’t exfoliate your skin from time to time, dead skin cells begin piling up under skin crèmes, make up and everything else you apply to your face. And they don’t come off when you wash your skin. Without any type of removal process, your skin starts feeling dry and rough — what you are feeling is your dead skin cells — and without removing them, moisturizers can’t soak into your skin.
Microdermabrasion is one of the gentlest, and non-invasive ways to remove the outermost level of dead skin cells (the stratum corneum). It removes these dead cells by forcing a gentle crystal solution across your skin. Then it vacuums these cells away, leaving your skin smoother, softer and younger. And your body naturally replaces these cells with new, fresh skin cells!
At IMT we can do several different types of microdermabrasion, but we highly recommend crystal Microdermabrasion – Our Advanced Microderm System. Using pure baking soda crystals, we propel the crystals across the skin at high speed to efficiently abrade the skin. The vacuum also applies a mild suction to the skin, increasing blood flow and circulation throughout the treated area. This increases cell renewal and collagen.
Our pure baking soda crystals will not irritate even the most sensitive skin. So they can be used on all skin types – and around the most sensitive areas on the face: the eyes and lips. Plus this type of microderm works on any age group, ethnicity or skin type. Read more about this.
You can expect a decrease in fine lines, wrinkles and age or sun spots. If you have acne or acne-scars, microdermabrasion will help lessen these. It will even up skin tone and repair sun-damaged skin. It can reduce pore size and will leave you with silky smooth skin. Your new skin will absorb skin crèmes better and look younger.
School is starting soon. We’ll help you start the school year with smoother skin for a smooth price, when you help a teacher and his or her students start school with a full backpack of school supplies.
